Lake and Mount Barm Firuz
Mount Barm Firuz is one of the mounts of Zagross Mountain in Fars province, located in Sepidan, 90 km northwest of Shiraz. Due to the lake with the same name on its slopes, this mountain is a particular attraction to tourists, especially in the late spring.
Barm Firuz Mount in Sepidan
This mountain is located 14 km north of Ardakan, the center of Sepidan and 50 km south-east of Dena Mountain. Its tallest point, called the Riz Peak, is 3720 meters above sea level. So, Barm Firuz Mount is the second highest peak in Fars province.
Barm Firuz Lake
A small lake in the southwest of mount Barm Firuz, at an altitude of 3350 meters above sea level, which is usually covered by snow until April and May. The lake is formed due to the melting of the snow.
Barm Firuz Lake is located next to these two high mountains, Barm Firuz and Mount Riz. Barm Firuz mount and lake is a natural source of water for some of the seafront springs, due to the significant annual rain (about 1000 mm) that is often covered by snow.
Wild Flowers of Barm Firuz
In late May and early June, around the lake, all around the grass and covered with wild flowers, but still in the western part of the snowy lake, which is left over from winter, all together give a special beauty to the lake Barm Firuz.
